HE Suffered For Me
1 Peter 3:18 NKJV
18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,

Peter writes about the challenges of suffering for doing the right thing.

Notice what Peter writes in verse 18 to these Christians who are being persecuted for serving Christ,
1. Christ the just One suffered once for the sins of the unjust.
2. Christ suffered so that He might bring us to God.
3. Christ was put to death in the flesh, (bodily), but made alive by the Spirit.

Child of God…
1. Peter is telling these Christians, who are being persecuted for serving Christ, that Christ who is sinless, also suffered for the sinner.
2. The application for the baptized born again believer is…
a.) When backlash comes to you for standing for Christ, remember what Jesus said on the Cross, Father forgive them because they do not know what they are doing, (Luke 23:24), follow His example.
b.) Recall why He submitted, (so you can be reconciled with Him).
c.) Recall the blessed hope of the believer ,(a glorified body in the presence of God, Titus  2:13).
d.) Recall Romans 8:16, His  Spirit bears witness with your spirit that you are His child.

Meditate on the truth that you are alive,(eternal), because He suffered in your place.
Thank God that He sent Jesus to suffer for you.
Tell Jesus thank you for suffering for me.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, (2 Corinthians 1:2 NKJV). Love ya Webster
