Be Ready With The Word
1 Peter 3:15 NKJV
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
Peter writes about the challenges of suffering for doing the right thing.
Notice:
1.) Sanctify the Lord is your hearts, (worship God).
2.) Always be ready to give a defense to everyone who ask you a reason for the hope that is in you, (be ready to explain the Gospel).
3.) Answer with meekness and fear, (be gentle and respectful)..
Child of God…
• In verses 13-14 Peter explains the challenges of suffering for the Gospel.
• New he admonishes theses Christians to be prepared to share the gospel when asked.
• Paul writes to Timothy to study the Word so he will be prepared and unashamed, (2 Timothy 2:15).
• The Holy Spirit is say to you today…
a.) Worship God and Him alone.
b.) Set aside time to prepare for ministry.
c.) Love God, love His people, love the Gospel, and love His Word.
Meditate on how pleased God is with you because you take time to prepare.
Thank God for choosing you as His vessel.
