You Were Always There

Psalm 71:5-6 NKJV

5. For You are my hope, O Lord God; You are my trust from my youth. By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You.

Psalm 71 is a Psalm exalting God as the rock of salvation.

Notice what the psalmist writes in verses 5,6.

  1. Lord You are my hope, (my only hope).
  2. Lord You are my trust from my youth.
  3. You Lord have upheld me from my birth.
  4. You Lord are the One who took me out of my mother’s womb.
  5. It is for these reasons that my praise shall  continually be to You, (I will always and forever praise You).

Child of God…

  • The psalmist writes about the God who cared for him before the womb and beyond, (Psalm 90:1).
  • God is from everlasting to everlasting, (Psalm 90:2).
  • Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore, (Hebrews 13:8).
  • You the baptized born again believer have the same testimony.
  • Paul writes that while you were still in sin, Christ died for you, (Romans 5:8).
  • Revelation 13:8 notes that Jesus died before the foundation of the world.
  • God foreknew you and predestined you to be conformed to the image of His Son Jesus, (note foreknew, Romans 8:29).

Meditate on the truth that God has always been with you.

Thank God that He knew you before you knew Him.

Thank God for His grace ad mercy.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, (2 Corinthians 1:2 NKJV). Love ya Webster
