How Do You Know?
Psalm 41:11 NKJV
11. By this I know that You are well pleased with me, Because my enemy does not triumph over me.
In Psalm 41 David writes about the blessings and suffering of the godly.
Notice that the blessings continue with victory over the enemy.
1. I know that You Lord are pleased with me because You did not allow my enemies to triumph over me.
Child of God:
• The context of this Psalm is David chronicling his journey of perseverance and deliverance of God from his persecutors.
• He also notes that God blesses him for blessing the poor.
• David notes that God will keep him alive during attacks from his enemies and during sickness.
• The application for you the baptized born again believer is that when you delight in keeping God’s will during good times and bad times, blessings await you.
• Jesus said we will always have the poor with us; therefore you are commanded to assist them, (Matthew 16:11).
• God said I Am the Lord that heals you, (Exodus 15:26).
• God said even in old age you will produce fruit, (Psalm 92:14.
Meditate on your storage of blessings that are laid up for you for obeying God’s Word.
Thank God for His endless grace and mercy for His children.
Thank God that He lets you know how you know.
Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. ( 2 John 3)
