I Am In Trouble Lord, Hear Me
Psalm 86: 6-7 NKJV
6. Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; And attend to the voice of my supplications.
7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me.
Psalm 86 is a prayer from David asking God for mercy.
Notice:
1. Give ear O Lord to my prayer, (listen to my prayer O Lord).
2. Attend to the voice of my supplications.
3. In the day of my trouble I will call upon You Lord.
4. You Lord will answer me.
Child of God:
• There is a saying the church that the baptized born again believer is…
a.) In a battle.
b.) Coming out of a battle.
c.) Going into a battle.
• Jesus said we will have trials and tribulations, yet He has overcome them all, (John 16:33).
• Both Paul, (Romans 5:3-4), and James, (James 1:2-4), agree, they instruct the believer to be joyful, (the joy of the Lord is the reason that you can be joyful in trouble).
• These verses affirm that you can have the joy of the Lord because He will answer you when you call upon Him.
• Hear David’s prayer, when I am in trouble Lord, listen to my urgent call for help.
• David affirms within himself that God will answer.
• You have this same assurance during times of difficulty.
• Pray these verses to God now.
Meditate on the peace that engulfs you now.
Thank God that you can freely say I am in trouble Lord, hear me.
Thank God for His constant presence, (in times of peace and in times of trouble).
Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. ( 2 John 3)
