Come Clean

Psalm 66:18 NKJV

18.  If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.

Psalm 66 is a praise to God for His awesome works

Notice what the psalmist writes in verse 18.

  1.   If I regard iniquity, (sin), in my heart the Lord will not hear me.

Child of God…

  • The psalmist declared, (verse 17), that he extolled, (praised), God while making his request. Now he is saying that if he had harbored unconfessed sin in his heart God would not have responded in the positive.
  • God loves praise from His people.
  • God inhabits the praises of His people, (Psalm 22:3).
  • The psalmist knew, and so do you, that sin separates you from God.
  • Rest in the truth of 1 John 1:9 that if you, the baptized born again believer, confess your sins, God is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you.
  • God has put in place a remedy for the sins of the believer, (1 John 1:9).
  • Be intentional to confess you sins daily.

Meditate on the heavy load removed from your shoulders after you come clean before God.

Thank God for His Word recorded in 1 John 1:1-9.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, (2 Corinthians 1:2 NKJV). Love ya Webster
